Yazd International Exhibition is a Multi-used project with over 800,000 square meters. located outside of Yazd in the middle of desert in a new city called Kosar this Multi-used complex with a focus on furniture and lighting exhibitions and showrooms will be part of a 2000 Hectare project. the complex consists of several exhibitions, showrooms, Home centers, cinemas, 5star Hotel, offices and commercial spaces, service building etc. Due to the weather conditions, The main concept of the project was to create spaces with the maximum amount of shadow. the result is that each space has its own central courtyard with narrow corridor connecting the spaces. The project demonstrates the sustainable principles underpinning the overall master plan. The buildings have self-shading facades and are orientated to provide maximum shade as well as sheltering adjacent buildings and the pedestrian streets below. The perforations for light and shade are based on the patterns found in the traditional architecture of Yazd.
