The Design was very much affected by the demanding local conditions that represented a major challenge for the designing team. At first, the steep topography seemed like quite a challenge but during the preliminary sketches we decided to create a form parallel to the topography rather than going against it. In the process we designed a box and rotated it till it was parallel to the topography and it gave a better view towards the valley. Yet the concept was to design it as a floating form above the ground so that the viewer could completely understand the box form and the way it was parallel to the ground. Thus at this point a structural core was designed beneath the house at the center in order to make it completely stable. The white color of the volume is combined with black metal profiles and is in a contrast with surrounding nature.
