The Zafar office and commercial complex is a 8-story building for one of Maskan Bank’s holdings. Our proposal speculates on the nature of the contemporary office building. Considering the 8-story building height and locating in one of the most important urban areas in Tehran 3rd district, the focus of the design was to create a light, transparent and simple design, appropriate to the architecture and the context of the street. The use of brick texture aligned with the sidewalk, and in the main perspective view, will give a sense of intimacy and nostalgia of indigenous materials. Glass surface is the reflection of the administrative system transparency and have less effect on the indeterminacy of urban walls. The use of special architectural details has helped to reduce the dead weight of the building. Another important point in the design of the Zafar building is the attention to the green and sustainable architecture, providing green roof and flowing green horizons to the region. The green walls, while stretching the vista of the walls of the city for pedestrians, make the interior spaces stylish for users of the complex.
